    3. Questions to be answered: What software are you using? Procomm Plus 32 has just that problem in the older version. I was in my directory, but no files showed on the screen. They were there. I just could not see them. I'd forgotten about this problem until I had to reload all my software a few weeks ago. There was a patch for it on the Datastorm web page as I recall. However Procomm Plus is now owned by Symantec and I just decided to upgrade instead of trying to find the patch again. When I had the problem originally it took me forever to figure it out. I don't know that anyone else here uses Procomm. You all seem to use CuteFTP or WS_FTP. Second - isn't it public_html instead of Public_html? Doesn't the case matter? I think so.
