    3. Hi Patrice, A really nice job!! The text of the census article looks left aligned to me but your name is off-center (it is NOT right-aligned) as I found out when I downloaded the page. I use Adobe GoLive and it appears that the small 1 row X 3 col table (with limks to the top, etc.) that looks like it is at the bottom of the census article is, in fact, embedded near the top of the 1 x 1 census article table. When I put a line break *under* the article and moved the 1x3 table after the <b> then everything straightened up - your name was centered as you intended. Again, that's a really nice site. I think it's worth the trouble to write to them, especially if you would like reciprocal links, however. Libraries and Societies would seem to be automatic, while private sites might not be able to handle heavy traffic -- they may have to pay for bandwidth, for instance. In any case, I always want to get reciprocal links if possible, so I always try to write. I don't ask permission, just tell them that I'm linking, and would appreciate a reciprocal link. If they insisted, I suppose I would remove the link, but it has never come up. Valorie

What is the protocol/etiquette for getting permission to link? It is a hang-up in some cases where people do not answer. Some web sites have no contact e-mail. Is it felt that if people put up a web page they would appreciate the extra hits by links to them, and just do it? Or is permission still considered necessary? Yesterday I uploaded a new file to replace the former one at the first location listed below and I checked the block that said to delete the dates of living persons and when I viewed it, it wasn't done. Please tell me what I did wrong, so I can correct it, as several people have asked me to do this. Thank you and aloha from paradise, Gordon.....
