I've tried with both Netscape and IE and get similar notices--and I have emptied my cache. I use that page as my Netscape home page and this started out of the blue when I rebooted yesterday. -Richard -- Richard Harrison/Encinitas, San Diego, California USGenWeb Northwest/Plains County Coordinator Rep IAGenWeb Immediate Past State Coordinator Jones Co. When I try to access my IAGenWeb site-- http://www.rootsweb.com/~iagenweb/index.htm --I get the following message. "The document contained no data. Try again later, or contact the server's administrator." I can access other pages on the site, but not the main page. The copy on my computer works fine and I reloaded it, but that didn't help. What is happening? Thanks, Richard -- Richard Harrison/Encinitas, San Diego, California USGenWeb Northwest/Plains County Coordinator Rep IAGenWeb Immediate Past State Coordinator Jones Co. Do any of you run a miling list also? I want to know, when someone posts a question to the list and it is sent to me, do I have to forward it to the list? I just don't see that much on my list. When I sent out an email telling them I was going to start working on the page, not a single person replied. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Help! For some reason, the entire contents of my directory <http://www.pets.rootsweb.com/> has vanished. I sure didn't delete the contents of the directory myself. There were over 32 pages on the site. A little too many to accidentally have deleted. Any suggestions about what happened? Marie Dallas
I too am having my rootsweb counter displaying on my web page. I'm using the same line as Vonnie, which is <img src="http://counter.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?df=countername"> I'm using Netscape Composer to make my pages and edit them. I add the counter, then save the changes, then go to preview. It shows up just fine there, but when I upload it with WS_FTP, after refreshing, there is nothing there but the icon indicating a missing image. Help! My website is at http://www.rootsweb.com/~mecsebag/Index.html Thanks in advance, Sherrill

The line [an error occurred while processing this directive] looks to me like you have both the SSI code and the Gumby counter code in your page HTML. Since the SSI counter is overloaded, it often gives a "cannot process" message. Eliminate that code and leave the Gumby (IMG SRC) code. and what's more, when I had antivirus activated, tried to click, your site is trying to *INSTALL* the map IN MY computer. That is a no-no. I do not trust a link that says "1835bedf.EXE". Ditto for "outline.EXE" name with .jpg or gif extension then they are safe and free of any potential virus trojans. My wife's third cousin (Charles Edwin "Ed" Prichard, Jr) has just returned from Wales, with a photocopy of an essay about the history of the Prichard family, which he found at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth. The essay is handwritten in Welsh, and is dated 1842, and "we think written by Ljan Olrheiniwr". He is hoping to find someone who can translate it from Welsh to English. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? = Loren P Meissner LPMeissner@msn.com
