The developer of GedView (I have GedView on my iPad and iPhone) did come up with a solution to "convert" a RootsMagic shared fact to individual facts when importing a GEDCOM. This being the case, it would seem that RootsMagic is exporting the shared fact correctly, thus the receiving program/developer needs to be able to convert the shared fact to an individual fact. David Knight (the developer of GedView) developed a solution so other developers should also be able to come up with the solution. The receiving program would then see a standard GEDCOM, and process it OK. -- Regards Dave =================================== RM list Archives: http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/ROOTSMAGIC-USERS/ http://archiver.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/search?path=ROOTSMAGIC-USERS WISH LIST: http://www.rootsmagic.com/forums/ BLOG: http://blog.rootsmagic.com/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ROOTSMAGIC-USERS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
It's probably more accurate to say that RM exports its shared events in a proprietary custom GEDCOM format that GEDview has been programmed to recognize and convert to standard GEDCOM, i.e., individual events.
