If you have a current account (user name/password) for: familysearch.org indexing.familysearch.org wiki.familysearch.org you are ALREADY REGISTERED for new.familysearch.org The issue is that not all accounts in the first group have been authorized for new.familysearch.org Most, if not all church members are now authorized. User accounts for non-church members are being authorized in small batches. YOU JUST HAVE TO WAIT YOUR TURN. There is nothing you can do to hasten your authorization. The only feature in new.familysearch.org is the web application for family trees (encompassing data from Ancestral File, Pedigree Resource File, International Genealogical Index, etc. This application is currently known as "NewFamilySearch" and is in final beta testing. Once released, it will REPLACE the current Trees (Family Tree) feature available at familysearch.org and will be called FamilySearch FamilyTrees. At that time, the website new.familysearch.org will disappear.
Ludlow, that was the same answer I got from the helpline a over a year ago :( Apparently Non LDS members are a VERY low priority. Paul, Your last sentence, it would appear, is something of the understatement of the day. My memory truthfully is not what it used to be, but I've gotten the same answer that you got for well over a year now, maybe 18 months or even more, but not much we can do about it I guess. David E.
