Recently I watched a series of Heritage Collector webinars and think the software would be useful to me as a stand-alone program for organizing and labeling photos as well as sharing them via DVDs and slide shows. (I know I can also do much the same thing within RootsMagic, but some of the photos I'll be working with aren't part of my genealogy, so I don't want to clutter my RM database with them.) One of the webinars included a shot of a screen within Heritage Collector where one can export/import images directly between Heritage Collector and some genealogy programs, including "Roots Magic 4" and "Roots Magic" (no version stated). Does anyone have experience with that, and does it work in RM5? I'd be interested in your thoughts about any pros/cons to using the two programs together. (Heritage Collector is described in the webinars as an add-on to Legacy genealogy software that can also be used as a stand-alone program. The initial response to my inquiry to Heritage Collector was that there's "a little more functionality with Legacy" than with RM, but it's hard to know what that actually means.) Thanks in advance.
