David, RM5 has been able to connect to New Fanily Search since the release of RM5. The issue is whether your log in to NFS will work or not. Some non LDS members are able to access the information andd others are bot (yet). More and more folks are gaining access almost daily. Ron Bernier Woonsocet, RI On Sunday, October 14, 2012, David E. Ron, So, if what you say is true, then how do we connect as well? Some time ago, Bruce said "RM is set up to do it, but FS has to set up their end to connect to it," or words to that effect. David E. David, In RootsMagic, click on the "Web Search" tab. There is a drop down list of where you want to search. Family Search is one of the web sites available for searching. When I click on "search Family Search", I am presented with potential matches. If I want to explore those matches, I do have to log in to the Family Search site. If you do not have valid log in credentials, you will need to register. You will receive your log in information, however, if you are not LDS, you may have to join those who are waiting for their log in credentials to be activated. Family Search is granting access to the site gradually as they continue to work out issues. Eventually everyone will have access, but currently not all do. Whether or not you have access to the web site has no bearing on whether RootsMagic 5 can connect to the site or not. It can and it does. Ron Bernier Woonsocket, RI On 10/14/2012 3:46 PM, David E.
