    3. Ludlow Bay, As noted previously, I have already done that, and cannot connect to family search from RM. I am looking for a way of doing it, but it appears there is none, despite folks telling me here that there is. That is the problem, it appears, we are "talking about apples and oranges." Your last line is incorrect though, because I CANNOT connect to FS (old or new) using "File/Family Search Central" but I can connect to "old" only using a stand-alone URL. I have submitted another query to FS Support for whatever good it might do, but I've been told for a year or two now to "be patient and wait," but I am afraid that patience is not my most notable trait. Go directly to the new.familysearch.org website and fill in your user name and password in the boxes on the left, using your current, valid familysearch.org login credentials. If they work, great. If they don't, *you *have *not *yet *been *authorized. Whatever happens on the website is exactly the same experience you'll have from within RootsMagic.

    3. I did an online "chat" this afternoon with Family Search to see if there was any possibility that I could get my sign in to familysearch.org "updated" so that it would work with the new.familysearch.org. The bottom line is that the lady who was helping me told me to see if I could log onto the old familysearch.org. I was able to get logged in. Then the lady asked me if I could get onto the Family Tree. I did not know what Family Tree is. She told me to go to HELP and search for ACCESS FAMILY TREE. I finally found a link to Family Tree. I was able to get right onto Family Tree with no further login needed. If I understood her correctly, the new FamilySearch will be migrated to Family Tree during October. I then asked her if that meant that I could access the database with RootsMagic after the migration happened. She checked her RootsMagic and said she could log directly into the Family Tree with it. When I asked her again if I would be able to access the database with RootsMagic (again) she said that would be something I would need to ask RootsMagic or whatever third party software I was using.
