RMGB is the backup file, you need to RESTORE it rather than open it. You will also have to copy any of the media files you linked to the database to the new computer and it is easiest to put them in the same folder path as they were on the old computer. Or, after copying them, do a search and replace of the Media file names and replace the old path with the new one. I just upgraded from RM4 to RM5 earlier this evening. I installed the "Place Database" but am unclear as to what it is actually supposed to do, or when/how I use it. Can someone please explain? Is there a way to get "United States" to stop appearing as part of the location? My other question is that in some of my previous locations, the word "County" is not part of the name, although I wish it would be. Is there an "easy" way to correct this? I have approximately 35,000 individuals. Thank you, Brenda Hare
