    3. Just to add for information -- the RTF with one page and only one line that I saved to my desktop says it has 58.9 kb. 3. WordPad does not do a very good job of displaying RTF documents. Microsoft Word seems to have been the originator of RTF so it is probably the best at displaying an RTF document. I have an old copy of WordPad, I think that it came with Windows 98, it does a much better job of displaying RTF Family Group Sheet than any of the more recent versions, but it still won't do a decent job, the pictures are left out and the longer text lines sometimes cross into the next column. 3. The ONLY program that will almost correctly handle the RTF files saved from RootsMagic is Microsoft Word (unsure what the oldest version is that does), NOT WordPad, NOT WordPerfect, NOT Open Office's equivalent, and not likely Libre Office's equivalent. To cause the saved RTF file to automatically open in MS Word and not something else, you need to set the File Association for RTF to Always Open with MS Word. In Windows Explorer, find any RTF file, right click on it, select Open With and check the box once you select MS Word. The missing birth dates might be because there is not only one birth fact marked Primary. Just a guess. 3. Tom MS Word is not working either. It drops the Family Group title entirely. I am using the latest of both. i was not having that problem before.
