Just an opinion here, but if someone bought ver 5 as a "upgrade", that is, at discount because they already had version 4, then they are not allowed to either sell or give version 4 away. However, if they bought version 5 at full retail, then it would seem they have the right to either sell or give version 4 away, and then it should be transferable. Hw=owever, they should check the license, it may tell us more than we realize. David If that was true, we could not give them as gifts. He is giving the complete program, key and book to relative. They are not sharing the program. It is possible to structure a software license more like a lease which lacks transferability. I.E., a sub lease could be prohibited. How the RM software license is structured is beyond my knowledge.
