Accuracy is pretty good and if the spell checker aspect is turned on errors, if any, will be highlighted. Beats hell out of re-typing. A lawyer would send me a brief, I wanted to use part, so I would OCR the document and thereafter block & copy as I chose. Presently version 18, you might find an earlier version on eBay for less. I have version 16. Lots of scanners even ship with some kind of OCR software. http://shop.nuance.com/store/nuanceus/html/pbPage.seasonal-deals/ThemeID.205 45600/OfferID.22716247509?resid=UD4SbAoBAlkAAHI2ARwAAAAx&rests=1346245228282 On sale now for $99 >>With OmniPage Professional 18, the best just got even better. I did have it on paper for the most part. I don't have the gumpsion to type it back in. Since then I paid for an off site back up program and an external hard to back things up. It was cheap when figuring the time and effort to redo it. Darned if the lovely young man knew exactly where it was (he is 22 now) and presented it to her with pride. Luckily I found an old, old backup, so I am now only missing 3,000 peeps. Sis has ironed that thing out and retaped it. I think it was 12 or 13 generations. It did not go all the way back to our Viking ancestors. I liked to use that to show who needed more research. Your are right, and I should have said PEDIGREE chart. That is what I get for asking this in a day such as this has been, but do you know of any means of printing a very large PEDIGREE CHART such as I described? Not many fourth graders have much need for descendancy charts. <eye roll> David E. Else he would need two descendant charts just to cover the two early colonists. Tom On 2012-08-27, at 4:35 PM, "David E.
