    3. In one of his year end blogs, Bruce did mention that there would be a tablet version of RM released some time in 2012. We have not heard any more about this since it was originally posted. It would definitely be nice if Bruce could give us an update. I would be interested to know if this is still on track or if it has been scrapped. Recently, a competitor product was realsed that wirelessly syncs between desktop (PC or MAC) and their app for your iPhone/iPad. 3. We are finishing up the iPad/iPhone RootsMagic reader app. It is still on target for sometime this year. For those who may want to access their full RM program from their tablet (including editing), here is an option: http://www.splashtop.com/home Splashtop is a program you install on your tablet that lets you connect to your home computer and run any of the programs on that computer (it does require internet access). So you can log into your home computer on your iPad and run the copy of RootsMagic that is installed there, and add or edit information directly into your database at home. - Bruce http://www.rootsmagic.com On Fri, Aug 17, 2012 at 9:04 AM, Ron Bernier <ronaldbernier@bernfrin.net> wrote: > In one of his year end blogs, Bruce did mention that there would be a > tablet version of RM released some time in 2012. 3. You can also use LogMeIn on the iPad, iPhone or Android tablet to do the same, it's actually fairly usable, though not ideal :) On 17 August 2012 16:13, RootsMagic <rootsmagic@gmail.com> wrote: > We are finishing up the iPad/iPhone RootsMagic reader app. It is > still on target for sometime this year. > > For those who may want to access their full RM program from their > tablet (including editing), here is an option: > > http://www.splashtop.com/home > > Splashtop is a program you install on your tablet that lets you > connect to your home computer and run any > of the programs on that computer (it does require internet access). > So you can log into your home computer > on your iPad and run the copy of RootsMagic that is installed there, > and add or edit information directly > into your database at home. > > - Bruce > http://www.rootsmagic.com > > > On Fri, Aug 17, 2012 at 9:04 AM, Ron Bernier <ronaldbernier@bernfrin.net> wrote: >> In one of his year end blogs, Bruce did mention that there would be a >> tablet version of RM released some time in 2012. 3. Thanks for all the responses and suggestions. I am just a bit leery of the things that connect to my laptop from afar. And, as a non-I person, the ipad version won't help. Sigh. But, I can at least have reports and such to read and work form, just won't be able to update as i work. (I do like having To-Go for that!!)
