    3. Thankyou Tom, the given/surnames I will keep in Danish, but the places and other wording I would like to translate to English, so I will add the Danish entry to the notes. If anyone has another idea I would be most grateful. Keeping 2 databases is too cumbersome for me so I don't think I will do that. Without a Danish keyboard, you will find the entry of certain letters from the Danish alphabet to be very cumbersome. You could enter the primary name of a person in one language and the Alternate Name in the other. There is no such alternate name for Places, although I suppose you could use the standardized Place name in one language and the other fields in the other but screens and reports will typically display the other. If the tree has paragraphs of notes, and you want to have these in both languages, about the only way I can see of doing that is to put one language into the private notes markers {...} embedded in the other language note. But reports can only choose to include or exclude the private notes if notes are printed. Maybe the best approach is to maintain two databases, one in each language, if you want to keep developing the tree in Danish. Else, the easier way is to cut the cord and work in the language you and RM best work in! Tom ----- No virus found in this message.
