I have been doing this very thing for several years. I purchased a $17.00 card for my home PC which allows me to run two monitors. I added a second monitor. Now, I have RM open on one, even two RM databases on one monitor, and then have other programs open on the left screen such as Email or Text or .Doc files. It sure makes life simpler for a very modest investment. . Most laptop computers support both the internal screen and an external one via a video connector and can be set to extend the Windows desktop over both, allowing RootsMagic to fill both ( not very ergonomic) or to fill one while something else fills the other. I sometimes use my iPad as an external monitor via wifi with a special app and matching streamer on the computer; it's a bit slow so best not to put motion video on it. Desktop computers with an empty card slot can have an extra video card installed to support a second monitor. Some cards support dual or more monitors so you could have 3 or 4 screens! Just like the stock and money traders... Tom On 2012-09-20, at 10:35 AM, "L. L. Scott" <llscott2000@bellsouth.net> wrote: > What kind of card???? > > -----
