I find that I have duplicate entries for one man on my list.   Entry A shows his wife and his children, his children's spouses and his grandchildren but not his parents.   Entry B shows his parents, his wife and his children but not his grandchildren.   I would be grateful for advice about how to deal with this. If I merge the two entries for the man will I then have the details of all four generations on one entry or is there some other way I should try to solve this so that I don't lose any of the information.   Sorry to be so 'needy' but I am a very new user of Rootsmagic.   Many thanks, Maureen

Maureen This may not be a duplicate, but 2 views. Go to tools and click on merge/manual. Select his name, but look above and below him for the same name. If there is none than it is not duplicated. The views you describe can be from the descendant view with him highlighted and the number of generations selected to include Grandchildren. The other view is with his parent highlighted and only 3 generations on the slide bar.
