Bruce, I think that this is for you. When I did my install, I opted to leave the RM5 install available, just in case. I had noticed that my backup file was being named with a 5 rather than a 6 and changed it. However I just was looking at the files and see that I do not have an Rootsmagic6 folder. I recall that someone just recently had a problem doing a new install as he had either moved or renamed his folder. What do I need to do now to make this straight? Can I just rename my database in explorer and leave it in Rootsmagic 5? I would rather have a Rootsmagic 6 folder. What do you suggest? thanks, Jinny Angelis
It is usually not wise to just rename a program files folder... in RootsMagic's case it will make it so you can't automatically check for updates.
