I have partially installed RM6 but cannot complete because it will not accept my RM5 registration key. The key should be valid as I copied it directly from the original email which gave it to me. Now it is showing RM6 in my programs which only takes me back to the Unlock screen again. RM5 is gone from the program list and I can't access any of my material. I tried to access my last Backup and found RootsMagic also gone from my choice of file openings. I added RM6 but that brings up the message " rmbg is not a valid Win32 application. I have never had a problem in accessing my backups successfully using RM 3,4, or 5. I purchased RM6 in late November and it cleared my bank on 11/26 so don't see how that can be the problem.
