The database file that RM opens and works on as does the RM app is the one with the .rmgc extension. The .rmgb backup file is a compressed ZIP file containing the .rmgc file; the RM app cannot unZIP it. So find your database file, not your backup file, and place it in DropBox or on your RM app in iTunes. there is nothing wrong with your install.
