Use the Windows Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to end the program or Shutdown/Restart Windows. When you have the database reopened, use the File > Database Tools tools to Check Integrity, Rebuild Indexes, Check Integrity; then if integrity OK, Clean and Compact, in that order. If integrity is OK at the outset, then it's unlikely the error caused any corruption of the database or was caused by corruption and you are safe to proceed to use it. But there is no harm and it will possibly do some good to go through the rest of the tools.
