Of the $15/yr, I am not aware for AncestorSync. I saw that for SharingTime. But as I have received no confirmation from AncestorSync, perhaps my submission of the online form somehow failed. Tom, By signing up for beta testing, do you mean you signed up for the $15 / year offer? I thought AncestorSync was free because I did not see a price on their website. After I downloaded the program they sent me an email with a link to confirm my email address. After clicking the link I saw they wanted me to pay $35/yr. So I emailed them and told them I was deleting the program and would not pay since there is nothing about $35/yr on their website. I told them I'd be glad to be a beta testor and they sent me the code to put in. They said it would enable me to test the software for 3 months. They recommend you use a copy of your database for testing and said: "AncestorSync will work with RootsMagic 4 and 5 and we are in the process of updating it to work with RootsMagic 6 files. If you are using RootsMagic 6 already, please check back with us in about 3 weeks to see if we have it ready for testing with RM 6. You do not need to register or add the code until you are ready to test. The three months will start when you register." Sorry for not reply sooner. I applied to be a beta tester as well. I haven't received a tester code yet. But the same day I applied I sent their support an email. I was interested in if they would soon support RM 6 and if it handled the shared facts. Their reply was that they are working on supporting RM 6 and hope to have that done in about 3 weeks. AncestorSync does not yet support RM shared facts, but this is something they are going to work on. They said they would send me a tester code, but I have not received it yet. They also suggested that as this is in testing to use a copy of your file and not your master database. Of course! :) I'm looking forward to trying this out. It would be nice to have a way to keep my files in multiple genealogy programs up to date. However the largest benefit to me would be if they were able to get something that properly converted shared facts to individual facts. Although, I'm still hoping for this as a native RM feature. :-D Kim On 12/05/2012 08:27 PM, Tom Holden wrote: > Of the $15/yr, I am not aware for AncestorSync.
