Would someone explain to me how to enter adoptees into families in my RootsMagic 5 database when I have no information on their biological parents. Thanks. Tom Howle

Assuming you are adding an adopted child to parents you already have in your database: Add child as you regularly would. After he/she is added, open the adopted child's Edit Person screen. Highlight the two parents. On the right side, change the "Relationship to father" from "Birth" to "Adopted." Do same with mother. If you want to track both the birth parents and the adoptive parents, you can add a second set of parents.
