    3. Several years ago I added a user-defined fact called #Not Married. A tip from another user long ago is the reason I add an asterisk in front of my user-defined facts. Makes it a lot easier to know when I can change the fact, rename it, or whatever I want to do with it. I chose not to use #Never Married because there have been times I was told or thought someone never married, only to find a spouse later in my research. I also color code unmarried people, so I can see at a glance not to waste time searching for a spouse for those people. Makes my life easier. I also created a user-defined fact called #childless. I only use it when I know for sure that they never had a child. You could create this fact for a couple and another one to use for individuals when one of them did have children. You could color code those people, too, if you want to.
