Somehow, you must have run RootsMagic ToGo and got RootsMagic into the C:\Program Files\ folder because that RootsMagicapp.xml file doesn't normally show up in the C:\Program Files (x86)\RootsMagic 6\ folder, but on mine it is in C:\Program Data\RootsMagic\version 6\ Now, on the flash drive where I have the ToGo version, it IS in the same folder as the program files. I do not understand the error message just giving you a path and filename. If you double click on that file it will open in your web browser and you will see a very short web page with your user name and user registration number, in a code of some kind. I would use Windows Explorer to look for another copy of RootsMagic.exe and see if you have two copies installed. If not, then you could try reinstalling but I think it will still think you are in TOGO mode unless you get rid of those two xml files in there. Deleting the whole RootsMagic 6 folder and reinstalling might be better but be careful that you don't delete any of your data or backup files _ They shouldn't be in the Program Files folder anyway. AND, you MAY have to re enter your user-name and registration number. Alfred =============== Tim Cox wrote: > When I launched RM6 on my desktop it told me that I was using RM To Go but > I wasn't.
