    1. [RMagic] Upgrading to RM7
    2. MScheffler via
    3. Is there a way to upgrade from RM6 to 7 in such a way that I do NOT lose my spell dictionary and my "not a problem " lists? It is so frustrating to lose these with every upgrade. RM 6 is installed in C:\Rootsmagic6 and my data is in C:\RM6data. Where should I install version 7 to make this happen? I usually keep all my old versions, but guess I don't have to keep all. I do not plan to compare my database with FamilySearch or any other large database. I am assuming I can turn this feature off. I also do not want to have the program make changes to the way I have entered places. Can that feature also be turned off? Margaret Scheffler

    3. You can always back things up to another folder somewhere else on your hard drive.
