    3. Me, too. I don't get why so many Roots Magic users seem to feel compelled to have such a variety of facts and other features that express such details - complex details built into the program. To me, the single advantage of Roots Magic has been the simplicity of using it. I'm in this to do family history research - not to be a computer programmer and data entry clerk. I see Roots Magic as a tool to organize and simplify my genealogical research - I provide the detail in notes or comments - I don't want detail in the program. In fact, it has always seemed clear to me that the great advantage of Roots Magic is that it was developed by someone who did genealogy and also saw it as a tool to aid the research - not an end in itself. Being simple and still effective is the great quality of RM - something Ancestry and Legacy could learn. Simple is golden - and the hardest thing of all to achieve. And it seems to me that remaining simple and intuitive are the qualities at greatest risk in the future. "I know from some source that there was a marriage, but I have no information about it", (blank marriage fact, source noted?) . "I'm not sure there was a marriage but I'm giving the parents the benefit of the doubt", (blank marriage fact, no source note, but a clarification Note?) and . "I definitely know that there was not a legal marriage (including common law), I'm just documenting DNA heritage" for medical history reasons. This covers liberal parents (no marriage fact)and/or rape cases. (newly designed rape fact?), . Surrogacy, etc. I'm not seeing provision for these fact types in R7. Perhaps a Note at the Family level? Thoughts?
