    1. [RMagic] Census 'sentences' & 'fact types'

    3. I am entering census facts where parents and kids as well as property and animals are involved. I'm using the 'census (fam)' fact type so names of both parents show automatically .. Then come shortcomings that are driving me nuts! Someone must have already figured out an easier way then 'cut and re-paste' a hundred or more times!!!! .. Robert Cormier, 55, and wife Mary Smith appeared in the 1671 census in Port Royal, Acadia. [that part creates about like that] .. BUT, Mary Smith is 32. They have 10 children: Alex 16, Betty 15, Carol 14, David 13, Ella 12, Fannie 11, Grace 10, Happy 9, Innocent 8, Jack 7. Robert owns 10 head of cattle, 15 sheep, 3 pigs, 20 arpents of land and 4 guns. Oh, and he is a carpenter. 1) However I write the sentence it will appear under both husband and wife (good) It will NOT appear under the children even when the fact is shared with them. (bad) 2) I would like the sentence for each of the children to be a bit more personalized, such as starting with their name and age then noting they were with their parents and siblings A, B, C, etc. I've been playing with wording and cutting then pasting the parent sentence to each child and re-arranging words to sound like a logical sentence ... "Alex, 16, was in the blah, blah, census with his parents, ages 55 and 32, and his siblings A, B, C, etc. His father owned blah, blah and worked as a carpenter." MOST of my ancestors are Acadian and/or French Canadian with TONS of CHILDREN so .. Take a guess at how many sentences I will have to cut, paste and change in how many census facts !!!! I will be on vacation for a week so ANY and ALL suggestions that are in my mailbox when I return with be VERY GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! I know there has to be experts out there that have solved this problem. As a relative newbie to RootsMagic I'd prefer not to try to re-invent the wheel so to speak! Pat P.S. Sandy, don't you dare laugh that I am even mentioning sentences and YES, I am attaching sources!
