I have had a number of occasions where double dates are not accepted. I assume this has to do with changes in the calendar and the program is specific on the rules. However, I have had several occasions -- like today -- when vital records give a date of 6 Nov 1745/6. I really want to be able to type the date EXACTLY as it is given in the vital record and have it sort correctly. Somebody reading my transcription is going to think me sloppy in transcription when I cannot have the program accept what is printed in the record. Is there a fix for this? Making a sort date one of 1745 or 1746 does not work. Margaret Scheffler
