Hi Joan, I think you will be very pleased to step up to version 6. There were some problems with version 4 in that that I bought it and never used it -- the only version that I I never installed. I think it was due to the change in program engine (not a problem), but the fact it did not have all the reports of version 3 (if I am remembering correctly). Anyway, you don't have to even look at the new features if you don't want to use them. If you want to make use of the additional features when using FamilySearch, you might want to go ahead and get RM7. Otherwise, I have not noticed much difference in the features I regularly use.
