I first became aware of this issue 24 hours ago. I have been having trouble getting information from FamilySearch while using RootsMagic 6 or RootsMagic 7. I checked for Updates (Help >>> Check For Updates) and both RM6 and RM7 are reporting that I have the most up-to-date version. I am using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with all updates installed. The problem is that when I try to use FamilySearch from the program all of the tabs work except that the Ordinances tab does not provide any information. I frequently get the spinning circle to show that the program is working on something, but I also sometimes get a message that "To get the official ordinance status first click the 'Find matches' tab to find this person's match in FamilySearch." I hasten to add that the Find matches tab does show a linked record, and the Share data tab gives me all the data to be able to compare the record with mine. Discussions, Sources and Notes are also working fine. I have also had my wife and my son check this on their own versions of the software and they are getting the exact same behavior. My wife is using Windows 8.1 (not sure the version) and my son is on Windows 7 Home Premium. I have tried going directly to FamilySearch and the information I need need is shown there, so the conclusion is that either something is broken in RootsMagic, or FamilySearch has changed the way RootsMagic is allowed to interact with it. This is inconvenient, to say the least. Tim Green
Tim, Yes, something changed with the FamilySearch API in the last 24-48 hours. We have contacted FamilySearch about this but haven't heard back from them yet. - Bruce On Sun, Feb 8, 2015 at 10:55 AM, Timothy Green via < [email protected]> wrote: > I first became aware of this issue 24 hours ago.
