Absolutely correct, and an excellent explanation. One thing that is confusing is that the feature where you can "match" a person in your database with a person in the FamilySearch community tree has been in RM for a very long time and it really has nothing to do with the way WebHints work in RM. And WebHints, of course, is a very new feature in RM. You can match a person in your database with a person in the FamilySearch community tree without using WebHints, and you can use WebHints without matching a person in your database with a person in the FamilySearch community tree. They are completely separate processes. The confusing aspect is that WebHints does involve a matching process. But the matching process used by WebHints is totally separate from the matching process where you declare a person in your database to be a match to a person in the FamilySearch community tree.
