I just tried adding a NEW fact to someone and selecting a source to SEE if that would show up on a report .... it did not. Since I didn't want to leave it there (it was a test only), I highlighted the source on the screen to delete it .... just READ the actual wording on the screen that popped up .... "do you want to remove this citation? Source will remain ...." Is that what I inadvertently have done .... deleted every single 'citation' in my database in an attempt to clean up sources? Sources are getting more unpopular with me by the second! I suspect the citations are still there. Try this: edit the source template that you used for the new master source into which you merged some Free Form source(s) by adding a field named "footnote" to the template definition. Leave it as a Master Source field. Now edit one of the merged sources. This field should now show up in the Edit Source screen with the value from the old Free Form Footnote field. That just shows that the data is still in the database but it is not being brought out. If you get this far, then there are some further edits you can do. Unfortunately, if you used a built-in source template, you cannot edit it so you won't be able to follow this suggestion.
