    3. Does your RM tree person have to have a corresponding person in FSFT for the former to get a WebHint from the FS source records databases? I did not think so... 3. Is the comment following Tom's message the answer to Tom's question OR did Jerry's statement create Tom's question????? Does your RM database person have to have a corresponding person in FSFT for the former to get a WebHint from the FS source records databases? 3. I think it does require a corresponding person in FSFT. RM's WebHints for FSFT are really already there on FSFT as Record Hints. They are not created when RM connects to FSFT in your behalf. The Record Hints appear to be created by some overnight or weekly or monthly batch process that runs on FSFT behind the scenes. You can see the Record Hints on FSFT without using RM at all and without using any genealogy software at all. You just go to the FTFT Web site and go to a person, and if there are any Record Hints for the person then the Record Hints are displayed. The linkage on FSFT is "existing person in FSFT community tree" <--> "Record Hint in FSFT". That's the only linkage there is for the Record Hint, so there has to be a corresponding person in FSFT. The linkage that RM creates appears to be "existing person in RM" <—> “existing person in FSFT community tree” so the link “existing person in RM" <—> "Record Hint in FSFT" that you really want to see has to be mediated by "existing person in FSFT community tree". I said that RM creates the link "existing person in RM" <—> “existing person in FSFT community tree”, and that’s sort of true. But I think the only thing that RM does is provide the person’s data in RM to FSFT and that FSFT does the matching to the FSFT community tree and then returns any associated Record Hints to RM. I’m saying all this in a fairly confident manner, but I have to admit that there is a little theorizing involved. But it’s hard to see any other way it could work given that the Record Hints are already there and that they are already linked to the FSFT community tree. Indeed, a Record Hint wouldn’t exit if there weren’t a person in the FSFT community tree to which it could be linked.
