Gail, if you click on the "Descendants" tab when you have Harriet highlighted, you can see all of them. Then if you need to make changes to a person, just double-click on that person to get the Edit screen. And if you have that screen open, you can watch where they move as you do the Rearrage > Spouses that someone else mentioned. Hi Tom, Sue & Cheri Thanks very much for the quick responses. Because the fathers are unknown, when I try to arrange spouses for Harriet, only one fellow shows up - so that is not working. I think Tom's suggestion may work - I didn't really want to attach them as step-children since the children were all on their own when Harriet married but think that is the way to get them to show as a family group. How do I show Harriet's husband as step father rather than just father. What I would try if it was me............. Add a "spouse" to Harriet for each "family" and call him "1 Unknown", "2 Unknown", etc in the order you want to remember to re-order them. Then do the "re-arrange" of spouses to put them in the order the children were born. Then "unlink" each fake spouse from Harriet and delete him from the database. (I don't like to create fake "unknown" spouses if I don't have either a first or last name for them, but you wouldn't have to delete them if you didn't want to.) Hopefully, once you've re-arranged the spouses and then deleted them, the children will stay in that order. It's worth a try, anyway.
