    3. Exporting a gedcom is a simple process. I have exported a gedcom file to WorldConnect 100s of times without any problems. Click File, then export gedcom On that form where it says to select everyone, I uncheck everything except notes, sources, and formatting details (you may want those things but I do not) Where you see “select everyone” click on the little triangle and choose instead “select from list” click ok With a large database, it takes a few seconds, but you will soon get a screen “Mark group”where you choose what you want to export. Select “dead” and click “ok” You soon get a screen where you name and save your gedcom file. It works very well, and I have never gotten a living person or had a corrupt gedcom file Margaret Scheffler

    3. d#$%#$n...that's what I've done, except I eliminated the formatting details, too -- when I click on "dead" everything except for maybe 15 out of 18000 are checked, and there doesn't appear to be a rhyme or reason, but when I look at me, my kids, my husband, etc., all of us living, there we are, included with the dead folks... 3. The only thing I can think of is that you might have the living box unchecked for all your living people? The default is for everyone to be living unless one deliberately unchecks that box. I never liked that particular feature because most of my database consists of dead people.
