A couple of weeks ago I also had a problem with merges that may have been the same thing. I clicked on the error message to send the report to RM. I tried to locate the problem area and I think it has something to do with the file that is created in merges called your-database-name.DUP in your database folder. RM doesn't seem to delete this file when the merges are finished or cancelled, although I think it should. You can try deleting that file if it is in your database folder. I cancelled out of the merge screen before completing all the merge suggestions and I think that is what started the problem. I tried to duplicate the problem this morning when I saw your message, but I was unable to do so. I had already downloaded the new update to 7.2.1.0 so who knows, maybe that helped it. I've used the merge feature regularly in RM so was concerned when this problem was reported. So I ran the "duplicate merge" option and just found the list of potential duplicates that I've seen for awhile. This is a family that I have very little info on and everyonés first name is "Living". I told the program that these were not duplicates and now I have no duplicates found, which would be correct. I would be curious as to what the DUP file actually is. I still have a . dup file from RM on my drive. It was my understanding that this should contain the records for people who appear to be duplicates and are not. Very useful for all those John's and Mary's that might appear to be similar when looking for duplicates but are not. Let's hope that this is a easy problem to resolve as it is a very useful tool.
