I usually start from pedigree view. Just click on the name of the person you want to add information to. If it is birth you are trying to change, click on that line; then at the top right of the "edit person dialog" box click on the area with the date, change the date and click save or close at the bottom of the dialog box. Once you get used to RM, you will find it so much easier than FTM. But change is never easy when we get really involved with an older program. I suggest you install v. 7 for the newer features, but the two versions basically operate the same way.
