    3. I overestimated what the "value" switch expression could be when I started, too. Unfortunately, it cannot do string comparisons on field value; it only tests if the field is not empty. So you might want to incorporate the verb in the [Desc] value, e.g., "was killed in action" "was shot for treason" "died a slow and painful death from paralysis of the bowel" "died of cancer" with the default verb "died" in the switch when [Desc is empty. 3. Is it possible to create a report in RM7 that lists all the relatives of a person, based on a relationship type, ie all second cousins of a person? I have recently got results from DNA testing that suggest matches in the range 2nd to 4th cousin. I have no obvious surname matches, so I'm trying to work out where the gaps in my research might be. I'm happy to use SQLLite, if that's the only way. Thanks for any help. Regards David Chilly Sydney Australia

    3. Try the Kinship report with you as the reference person, save to text format, open in Excel and use its filter or sort on the relationship. With SQLite, see http://sqlitetoolsforrootsmagic.wikispaces.com/Relationships Tom On Sun, Jun 26, 2016 at 3:38 AM, David Finnigan via < rootsmagic-users@rootsweb.com> wrote: > Is it possible to create a report in RM7 that lists all the relatives of a > person, based on a relationship type, ie all second cousins of a person? > > > > I have recently got results from DNA testing that suggest matches in the > range 2nd to 4th cousin. 3. You somehow have them linked to persons in pedigree. go to the person's edit view and click media to see the media there Look at the tags that tag the docs. Use the EDIT TAG and uncheck the primary box. Note Reload your view you had trouble with. If docs still show up Go back and repeat the instructions for any person where the doc is showing up on the pedigree chart. You need to note any person with the docs while in pedigree view. Time consuming I know, but it should work. If it doesn't then they are linked as primary in another location, Which I don't know. Jon On 6/20/16, M. A. 3. I am using RM 7, when I print a family group sheet with say 2 children it prints just fine but leaves the rest of the page blank, I am sure that in a earlier ver, you could select print child even to fill page even if blank or some such wording, I need to look for extra children to a family and the extra spaces would be great, I can do it by adding a 1,2,3, ect to the family, but the old way was better am I missing something Cheers Jenny
