    1. [RMagic] comparing 2 family files in RM6
    2. Maggie Champion via
    3. I have RM 6. I have 2 Family Files, each containing the same people. However, I think that one of the files has more up-to-date information in it. Is there a way to compare the two Family Files so that I can see if they match? Thank you, Maggie -- Maggie's Genealogy Service Maggie Champion PO Box 843 Greencastle IN 46135 http://maggiegen.wordpress.com [email protected]

    1. [RMagic] RM 7.0.4.0 is out to fix the A/V errors
    2. RootsMagic via
    3. We just released a new update of RootsMagic (7.0.4.0) that should resolve the issue with the access violations in 7.0.3.x. To download the update go to the "Help" menu and select "Check for Updates" or go to http://rootsmagic.com/download/rootsmagic-7. If you previously disabled WebHints to avoid the error, you may enable them again. You do this for each file by going to Tools > File Options > WebHints. Check the "Enable WebHints" box and press OK. - Bruce

    1. [RMagic] Place Database
    2. LHite31 via
    3. Hello List, When did RM start forcing a person to download Place Database when they downloaded an update? While downloading the update this morning, my Webroot Secure Firewall warned me that RM was downloading Place Database and did I want to accept or block it. I clicked block and it and the update was deleted. I could find no way to stop PD from loading so I went ahead and downloaded it also. My computer froze before it could completely load. I ended up going into Program Files>Common Files and deleting the PD. As far as I know, it has not affected RM from working. Lloyd

    3. 7.0.3.1 just fixed the permission dialog for WebHints (it was always turning them off). We are currently looking into the access violations, which are definitely from the WebHints. For now I recommend turning off the WebHints until we can release an update which addresses them. - Bruce On Wed, Jan 28, 2015 at 10:03 AM, Charlie Hoffpauir via < [email protected]> wrote: > On 1/28/2015 10:15 AM, Tom Holden via wrote: > > If you have 7031, then that is an update in response to all the access > > violation reports of 7030. > > > > > OK I just realized that your reply was Bruce's description of what was > in 7.0.3.0 release. RootsMagic has registered both domain names and the former gets redirected to the other. The issue is that the page or folder or website under that domain and named SURNAME is unavailable to the public. Do you really mean SURNAME or is that just an alias for what you really type in? 3. Dora there are interview templates which is what you might want to use so that your sources are not in your notes. I saw 3 different types and they look like they would handle such situations.
