Well, searched my father on the 1940, he does not exist :( Also searched his first wife and she does not exist either...So i don't know where he was in 1940. Another problem on Ancestry is Maryland is not listed in the drop down box for a state search, but I was using the Library edition of Ancestry instead of logging into my own account.. -- jan www.bullocks.org
Using my own account with Ancestry, I cannot find my family on the 1940 census. Supposedly ALL states were indexed. I live in Illinois. I used my father's name, my mother's name, my siblings and myself, various spellings of last name. Nothing shows up. Did they announce too quickly that ALL were indexed? I'm 76 and know I am alive but can't find my my family in 1940. Any comments or suggestions ?
