    3. Pat, I did just run across one email on Gen-Newbie but it didn't mention anything about anyone having serious problems with their computers. Right now the site is redirecting me elsewhere. I tried to make some money to cover costs. So, I did try to find ways to raise funds. I had no idea that the way I was trying to raise funds, using affiliate programs and/or pay-per-click programs, I did try clicksor, would cause these problems. It is very, very discouraging to discover this. My intentions are very good and I have invested a great deal of money into developing an application that I had hoped would catch on and be great. It seemed like I also got other feedback on Gen-Newbie at an earlier time that was back in 2011 when the project was newer and I started describing the Semantic web and what I was going to do... people were very interested and wanted to learn more. Then in 2012, I hired someone who helped me with a script to import GEDCOM files. He also helped me get rid of spam and spammers. I must have put over $1000 into this work. Plus there is the cost of web hosting... I am so very discouraged now. I don't know what to do. I was so excited by this work and the new technology... but if the site is already seen in such a bad light, in such a negative way, what can be done? I will look into this with the people that are helping me... but I don't know how to present this again in a very positive way... and for people to want to discover what could be great about this. I am assuming that one there might be a virus on the server and that needs to be investigated and two I will definitely look into and remove certain types of advertising or affiliate programs that might be doing these kinds of things that mess up sites. Or is this just a "come-on." In February, after a similar "invitation" was issued on Gen-Newbie, some of the folks had serious problems -- computers that quit functioning, "history sniffing" (stealing your browser history), clicksor, etc. After some of the folks responded with concerns to you, the only response I saw was another initial email, as though you had never seen the responses. I'm sure you are not doing this intentionally, but this really smacks of a scam, and if you don't agree with that, perhaps you should respond to Gen-Newbie and this list as well. Admittedly some of these features may not be immediately apparent, that is in terms of what makes the application different than others (In technical terms the application uses Semantic Web technologies but one doesn't need to know what that means to benefit from the new features).
