Bruce, It is clear this is important to you but that's the only part that is clear. I still can't see your goal or what your app is trying to do. I'm fairly high tech but tech-speak won't help here. It actually clouds the issue further. You are gaining a little bit. I no longer believe this might be a scam Good luck, Gale Gorman Houston On Mar 25, 2012, at 10:33 PM, Bruce Whealton wrote: Pat, I was wondering if you had any advice for how I can approach this with the Gen-Newbie list. And elsewhere. This is a really important investment and special project of mine. I've removed the adbrite ads, the clicksor ad code, and those were in a number of places and used a number of suspicious formats, like pop-unders and something called interstitial ads. These are gone... So, any positive reviews of things at this point, if anyone will please give this a chance, would be so Appreciated! This is very important a project of mine, as can be imagined with the $1000+ investment in the past few months. Or is this just a "come-on." In February, after a similar "invitation" was issued on Gen-Newbie, some of the folks had serious problems -- computers that quit functioning, "history sniffing" (stealing your browser history), clicksor, etc. After some of the folks responded with concerns to you, the only response I saw was another initial email, as though you had never seen the responses. I'm sure you are not doing this intentionally, but this really smacks of a scam, and if you don't agree with that, perhaps you should respond to Gen-Newbie and this list as well. Admittedly some of these features may not be immediately apparent, that is in terms of what makes the application different than others (In technical terms the application uses Semantic Web technologies but one doesn't need to know what that means to benefit from the new features). ===== If you would prefer digest mode to mail mode, drop a note to roots-admin@rootsweb.com and ask for the digest... ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ROOTS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message -----------snip---------- Gale Gorman Houston
