    1. Re: [ROOTS-L] Charles STARR (Cambridgeshire Eng)
    2. ANSWER TO BELOW: Dianna, Had trouble finding your Charles in the 1851 Census so I went to "Immigration" details and found your Charles. Yes, he went to Australia and everything matched (date, ship). If you do not have the original manifest I will be happy to send it to you in a download. In the meantime here's what it said; Charles Starr, age 20. Native Place: Foxton Kent Parents & residence: John and Ann living in Foxton. Will go back to the 1841 & 1851 Census and see what I can find and let you know if I can find anything. Hope this helps, Gretchen ORIGINAL QUESTION: From: "dianna charles" <diamonddi57@optusnet.com.au> Subject: [ROOTS-L] Charles STARR (Cambridgeshire Eng) To: <roots@rootsweb.com> Hi Everyone I'm doing research into the above Charles Starr Charles STARR arrived from England on the Washington Irving on the 27th of September 1857 (to Australia). On the list of immigrants it states that he was 22 years old was an agricultural labourer, his native place and county was Kent, he was a methodist who could both read and write. He was the son of John STARR and Mary WRIGHT ( needs confirming). *Note Charles' birth is given as Cambridge/Cambridgeshire on two different certificates. One is his death certificate and the other is his son Charles' birth certificate. I would like to find Charles and family on the 1851 Census and I'd like to find his birth/baptism if possible. Any information would be great, kind regards Dianna from Australia
