My great grandfather Joseph Frank Noyes was born in Ohio in or around 1858/59 The family moved to Mondamin Iowa, some time in between 1860 - 1870. There was a large family unit of the Noyes family. Brothers , cousins, and lots and lots of children, some grown and some still just babies. I found my grandfather grave in the Noyes cemetery, there in town. Also found a death notice. Around 1879 Joseph F. Noyes married Percy/Percie/Perca A. Pierce, born in Iowa in 1859. Almost every census I found her on, she changed the way she spelt her first name. In 1980, they are living in Mondamin Iowa, had a child, living on the family farm, by his two brothers and I believe his father Peter E. Noyes and his mother Margaret Noyes are still alive and living close. After 1980, I have found them on county census, but Joseph some times goes by Joe, Frank, or Franklin, if it wasn't for their children: Peter Noyes b.1881 Eva Noyes b. 1890 Margaret Noyes 1893 all born in Nebraska. This family acts like the devil must be chasing them, or their running from someone ??? the law ??? What I am looking for is Perca Noyes burial place. I found her on the 1930 federal census, living in Los Angeles, California, with her daughter Margaret, is married to a man, Carter and they have a son. I searched as many data base for most cemetery's in and around that area. No luck. I went into the 1940, in the same district, went line by line, didn't find her. she was 71 on the 1930 census, plus the 1930 was the great depression, so anything could have happened. She could have been buried as poor, she would have no head stone, but she should have a death certificate. I can find no date for her death on any free web-site. I have also looked through all free Nebraska death lists, as that's where her parents had lived, and she had family still there. I do have Ancestry .com. , but can't find anything after 1930. Does anyone out there have any suggestions ???? Sully
