    3. Gale: If you're not using Windows I think your software choices are fairly limited. I switched from FTM to Legacy years ago because FTM wouldn't let me sequence sources chronologically and the whole FTM sourcing process was abysmal. I was up and running with Legacy within 15 minutes and in love in half an hour. Legacy has so many great features that I couldn't recite them all. Do the others have a Source Clipboard where you can build a source citation and then attach it to any person or fact with a single click of the mouse? I couldn't live without that. And as David posted, Legacy syncs with new.FamilySearch (and surely will do the same with the LDS Family Tree once it's out of beta). I subscribe to Ancestry.com but don't care much about their little shakey leaves so syncing there isn't an issue. However, if you're strictly a Mac user, I get the impression that those folks are fairly well satisfied with Reunion. Maybe it's just a matter of what you're used to. I'm currently using Reunion 9 and found there is a Reunion 10 so I ordered it. I have FTM, GEDitCOMII, and Reunion 9 for Mac and I've tried to keep all three up to date with my tree because I haven't fully made up my mind which I want to stay with. Then I have The Master Genealogist Gold version from when I used Windows so it has gone unused for years. I'm not LDS and not far enough along to be concerned about writing a report but I do want software that is quick to navigate and easy to enter new people. I liked FTM for the way it synced with Ancestry.com but some things were really clunky to enter, such as a second wife or husband and more children. So I'm currently using Reunion 9 again. I have notes all over the place and have no idea how they will be treated when the time comes for me to commit this to writing. I'm sure everyone has their favorite software but I'd like to know why it is the favorite. Gale Gorman Houston
