Thanks everyone for your help finding my relatives in Schuyler County IL and tips on how to search the census on Heritage Quest. Here's another one: when I search for Bruce Haynes in Whatcom Co., WA in 1930 on Ancestry the page comes up blank. I've tried again and again. It says he's on page 7A but since I can't see the page I don't know what's stamped on it so I don't know how to find him in Heritage Quest. I put in page 7 and that does give me the right county but he's not on that page. Does the search by name feature in Heritage QUest work? I have never been able to find anybody by entering the fields for name, census year and state. If someone can figure out what page he is on in Heritage Quest I would appreciate it. Thanks. Barton
Searching by name works on Heritage Quest but my experience has been that most years and states are only searchable by the head of the household. Familysearch.org also has the census records and they are searchable at no cost.
