To get this, I typed out the French as best I could, then used Google to translate it. You might try another translator, such as Babelfish, to see if there are differences. I bracketed [ ] items with what I thought it meant. Can't quite get the "of _____ years no marriage" part -- are the participants of legitimate marriages? Or, have they been married before....? But, I think you get the message. To translate the dates and such, you need to do the same. I'm not sure what you mean by "he does write like my ancestor..." -- this is a clerk writing this, not the spouses. Glad you found this site, by the way -- I have some Alsace ancestors of similar vintage. I'll look them up when I can figure this out.
