    3. Hi everyone I've just received Henry Fullers war records and on one of them it states that his marriage is recorded in the Pittsburgh Pa Probate Court then looks like "no licence" very hard to read, witness by Abraham Byers and his wife. Married Mary Ann Rose 15th June 1846!! Who/Where can I contact to find further details of this please. Kind regards Dianna

    3. Dianna Think you want this: http://www.alleghenycounty.us/wo/index.aspx Under the "genealogy" section, there's discussion of marriage records. It looks like perhaps these records would be in the Carnegie Main Library. However, if the "recording" was part of a probate issue, it may be somewhere else. The person (clerk) in Pennsylvania that I have found keeping many of these records is the prothonotary. According to the website, the Prothonotary was merged with the Clerk of Courts and Register if Wills in to the Department of Court Record. So, no doubt the record will be somewhere here, just finding it without being on-site may be a challenge.
