    3. When dealing in genealogy most feel family info belongs to them, even if they did not do the leg work to get it. I feel, if I find info I seek- to at least give credit where credit is due- To the original owner or transcriber of the material one borrows, Never place your name on someone else's work - you can place your name on the material as one source of those who collected and or compiled the info- But always place the name of the person you got it from on your list of people who did the leg work. Some people get out of sorts because they paid good money for copies od legal documents and such, and you made copies of what they paid for- Pay for it if it is something you really want to have,and remember, you have the real copy, they have a printer copy, nothing better than an original.
