We want to have a largeish family tree (maybe 24" x 36") printed for a couple who are getting married. We'd appreciate recommendations, especially of companies that can work with Reunion for Mac. I found this list: http://genealogy.about.com/od/wall_charts/ Considering Heartland Family Graphics http://www.familygraphics.com/ because they specialize in charts created by Reunion. Also we'd appreciate any suggestions on choosing various options, working with printing companies, etc. We're considering a butterfly chart something like http://genealogy.lovetoknow.com/Printable_Pedigree_Chart but with the couple in the center. adTHANKSvance! Hello, Carol. Family Chartmasters printed a 24x36 chart for me last October, a wedding gift. They have many, many options: I chose an 8-generation fan chart with a 4-surname label at the bottom. Full names, birth & death years. I decided that occupations (for 6 generations, limited by space) were more interesting than places or marriage info -- you might think otherwise. (Including places etc. would have meant much smaller type.) I suggest a sans serif typeface, such as Arial bold narrow, for easy reading. Printer used a parchment-look paper. The bride and groom displayed the framed chart at their reception, and we had many compliments. Genealogystuff.com has a 9 generation pedigree chart that is 3 ft. x 4 ft. I bought stencils from stencilsonline.com and am spending my summer gradually filling in the chart using the stencils. This is laborious and time consuming and not for everyone. If I could have found a way to generate the information on a computer, I would have, but couldn't. I don't mind doing the work because I like this sort of thing. The chart looks great. It has a "printed" and handmade feel about it both. When it's done, I'll have it copied in sepia tone and framed, and I think it will be lovely. If anyone thinks they would want to go this route, I can tell you what size fonts you'll need to fit the chart.
